Jiyu CNC Launches Automatic Laser Edge Banding Machine, Integrating Multiple Processes for Finer, More Efficient Edge Finishing
As cabinet, wardrobe and whole-house custom furniture makers raise their standards for panel appearance, edge banding has become far more than attaching a strip to a panel. Seam quality, corner finish and surface cleanliness all shape the overall look of the finished product. To meet this demand, Jiyu CNC introduces its Automatic Laser Edge Banding Machine, which combines laser edge banding with a series of precision finishing operations in a single production flow.
The machine’s process sequence is comprehensive. Once a panel enters the line, it first goes through separation and pre-milling to create a flat, clean reference edge. A 3KW rectangular laser then prepares the edge band, and a dual color PUR gluing system together with five-wheel pressing brings the band and the panel firmly together. The no-cleaning upper glue pot reduces the routine cleaning and glue-change effort, making daily maintenance simpler.
After banding, the machine performs end cutting, two stages of fine trimming, four-corner chamfering, two scraping stages and floating scraping, refining the top and bottom edges, ends and corners of the band step by step. The panel then passes through cleaning and two buffing stages, leaving the edge smooth and polished. The machine also features a heightened aluminum beam, providing a more stable foundation for its multi-station operation.
For panel furniture factories and custom workshops, the machine delivers value in three ways. First, its highly integrated process allows banding and multiple finishing steps to be completed in one pass, reducing manual rework and secondary processing. Second, the laser process combined with fine trimming, scraping and buffing helps achieve a cleaner, more attractive edge. Third, the dual color PUR gluing system suits production of panels in different colors, helping factories handle diverse orders.

After years of research and development and practice, CNC cutting machines have developed many mature models, such as three-process cutting machines (entry-level), four-process cutting machines, cutting machining centers, dual-spindle row drilling and package machining centers and One spindle, one row of drills, one tool magazine, machining center, etc. The four-process CNC cutting machine is an economical multi-function CNC equipment.
The four-process CNC cutting machine has four spindles. When producing panel furniture, all four spindles can perform drilling processing. However, the four-step cutting machine is relatively good in terms of comprehensive application.
